Special Announcement…
Happy Birthday to our special Cree Elder Ms. Irene Plante. (Irene is on the left and beside her is Juanita Rose Brillon.) Much love, hugs and kisses are sent to Irene this month as she celebrates her birthday with family and friends. She plans to have a quiet party this year as people are still talking about the last big birthday bash she had a couple of years ago on her 80th! Irene is a woman that inspires us all to be proud of our heritage and culture with her wonderful stories, her bannock by the yard and her hot cups of tea. She has shown us how to celebrate life no matter what obstacles stand in our way or how weary we feel.  She is always there with a comforting word or a joke for us all.  She is renown for her wonderful sense of humor and for the hospitality and for the kindness she shows us year after year.  Much, much love from all of us who have been so blessed to have your company!
